Dubitsky Family Dental: The Family Dentist Hillsborough Township, NJ, Trusts
At Dubitsky Family Dental, we know you do everything you can to make sure your family is happy and healthy. Nutritious meals? Check. Enough sleep? Check. Play time, family time and exercise? Check. We’d like to suggest one more activity to help you keep your family in top shape. The American Dental Association recommends that everyone have at least two dental checkups every year, and Dr. Dubitsky-Timchak and Dr. Dubitsky agree. When you make sure that your family attends regularly scheduled dental exams and screenings, you’re not only taking care of their oral health, you’re helping to care for their overall health.
The mouth is the gateway to the body, so it should come as no surprise that the condition of your oral cavity impacts your bodily systems. Particularly in the case of periodontal disease, also known as gum disease. The bacteria that cause gum disease can migrate through your bloodstream, causing disease and illness in other bodily systems, including, diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack and even pregnancy complications. And while gum disease is more common in senior patients, youngsters are susceptible to this disease, too.
Dental Exam and Cleaning
When you or another member of your family comes to Dubitsky Family Dental for a checkup, we will clean your teeth and examine the overall health of your oral cavity. One of dental hygienists will clean your teeth and remove plaque, that sticky film that builds up on teeth day in and day out. Plaque can be a precursor of gum disease, and while your at-home oral hygiene routine of brushing and flossing does remove some plaque daily, there’s nothing quite like a professional cleaning. Your teeth will feel smooth, polished and healthy.
The second part of the checkup is a dental exam. We will make sure your digital x-rays are up-to-date. Digital x-rays not only expose you to far less radiation than standard x-rays, they can also be stored more easily in our paperless record-keeping system. And if we need to forward any of these digital x-rays to another dental professional, they can be electronically sent. We’ll make sure to check for any signs of gum disease, tooth decay, occlusal disease (including TMJ Disorders) and oral cancer. We will do all of this and more with a friendly smile and a family-oriented attitude, all the while helping you to feel right at home during every moment of your visits with us. We are committed to complete care dentistry for you and your entire family, and you’ll feel that commitment in your treatment and our service.
